Kahukura Books
Established in 2018, Kahukura Books is an independent publisher of books.
All of our books are made in Aotearoa. All profits go to the author of the book.
Our logo is kāhu the hawk flying into a rainbow. A symbol of the material meeting the mystical. Our books seek this ideal: the intersection of the worldly with the spiritual.
Our kaupapa is to bring unheard and undiscovered local voices to the world. Storytelling is taonga.
As an evolving collective of writers and designers, many great collaborators and creatives need to be thanked:
Moha Winders, Grace Gillon, Delilah Pārore Southon, Ben Stoner, Grace Mirams, Rosanna Tills, Sam Ezra, Katie Watt, Gus Hellen, Lauren Harrigan, Jacob Munro, and many more.
It takes a community to support an artist.
If you have a story you would like to tell, or a question to ask, please contact our founder/editor Nicholas Stringer at kahukura.books@gmail.com
